Dilutions - Cheat Sheet For whole naturals liquid castile soap

Updated: Nov 10, 2022

My Dear Readers,

I have had the most interesting week! It by enjoying an evening of creative Halloween costumes that paraded around our neighborhood.

Later in the week, we celebrated with a fall festival - complete with a pumpkin carving contest and a corn maze!!

But best of all, I took the time reading your emails! I love learning about how you customize your Castile Soap experience - and love to read all of your questions!

This week, I received a fabulous email from a community member who wanted to really understand WHY Whole Naturals Castile Soap was concentrated, and if I could make a quick reference guide for the suggested dilutions of our soap. Happy to oblige!!

Why is Whole Naturals Castile Soap Concentrated?

Liquid Castile soap comes in a concentrated form and will always need to be diluted before using. Dilution ratios are dependent upon many factors - including water quality, and personal preferences!!

Whole Naturals Castile soap is vegan friendly (made only from vegetable-based oils) and we make our soap concentrated for a variety of reasons!! As a small family-owned business, we have made a commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. By preparing a concentrated soap - meaning that our 1/2 gallon bottle can go a LONG way, we are reducing the amount of plastic in landfill. That means more soap - less packaging - a WIN-WIN combination!!

So remember: Castile soap is very concentrated and should be diluted with water before it's used. When you're getting ready to use it, make sure to water it down first.

Quick Reference Guide For Dilution

What's fabulous about Whole Naturals Castile Soap is that you can customize, tweak and adjust your recipes to your preference. In the mood for citrus? Add some lemon scent today, lavender tomorrow!

You may find that the amount of water may be adjusted - more or less - depending upon the type of water you have in your home or they quality and quantity of lather you desire.

I decided to assemble a list of our most requested recipes - you can download, print and post this on your fridge for quick access!

I'm so happy when you reach out to ask questions, share comments and reviews on your experience with our Castile Soap!

Until next week...
