Castile Soap Uses You've Never Thought of Before!
When my family began to transition into a cleaner and greener lifestyle, one of the first things that we purged from our cupboards were the hazardous and toxic cleaning supplies. We had cleaners that were specific in use – oven spray cleaners, we had products that were general usage – bathroom cleaners, and everything in between. We knew that our standards for maintaining a clean home, without the use of chemicals, would require creative thinking and utilizing non-toxic ingredients.
Our go-to cleaner started with using white vinegar and baking soda (sometimes together, sometimes separate!!) It was so useful!!
We found that dry baking soda was a great deodorizer! From keeping the smell out of our fridge, to our kids’ shoes, we even used it to remove odors and stains from our carpets and upholstery (Thanks to our dog Tyger) it quickly neutralized and offensive odors!
But, when we discovered Castile Soap, we realized that this soap could meet our household cleaning needs in one bottle! If you’ve never heard of Castile Soap, you’re not alone. But now that you’re here, read on as I’m proud to spread the word!

Did you know that you can avoid commercial laundry detergents? Use Castile Soap instead.
4 cups very hot water
1 cup baking soda
1/3 cup salt
1 cup Whole Naturals Castile Soap
In a large spouted measuring cup, stir together the hot water and baking soda until the soda is dissolved. Add the salt and stir until it is dissolved. Add in Whole Naturals Castile Soap and stir gently to combine. Pour the mixture into the one-gallon jug. Slowly fill the gallon jug to the top with water. The soap will foam, but just keep filling until you have mostly liquid. Gently shake before use. Each load uses about 1/3-½ c.
3. Foaming Hand Soap
My kids love using foaming hand soap, they enjoy playing with the suds, and I feel that they clean their hands more thoroughly when using it. But did you know: you use less water when using foaming hand soap? It’s a win-win! Ready to make a deliciously smelling foaming hand soap your whole family will love? We love the smell of almond oil, but you can use your favorite smelling essential oil!
12 ounces of water (distilled or boiled is best
2 Tbsps. Whole Naturals Castile Soap
½ tsp almond oil essential oils of choice for scent (optional)
Fill the foaming soap dispenser with water – leaving about 1 inch at the top. Add Whole Naturals Castile Soap to the water mixture (do not add the soap first or it will create bubbles when the water is added.)
